I have a couple questions about a Dr. Pepper soda pop machine that I recently got. NARCO-DIXIE DNCB 276C/162-6 - SERIAL #0698-2870DJ 1) What model exactly is this? I've done some searching but unable to find a similar model/picture/info. 2) What year(s) did they manufacture this machine?
3) How can I set this baby to FREEPLAY/FREEVEND? 4) Can this use cans, plastic and even glass bottles if I'm looking at these slots correctly? 5) Can I double load (2 stacks deep) of cans in this machine?
6) Any links to a manual?? IF YOU CAN ANSWER ANY OF THE ABOVE QUESTIONS OR HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL INFO I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT!
You have a dixie narco 276. Good machine. They made these i think from the 80's until. I havent seen new ones in awhile but they shifted to the multi price 3 deep 276e.
The machine is 2 deep for cans 1 deep for 16.9 oz. Only put the plastic 16.9 oz bottles in the single wide columns which are in the middle of the machine.oil the contact points on the motors it will keep them in sync over time. Keep your evaporator clean and give a couple of inches away from the wall for the hot air to get out. It really adds to life life of the compressor i have never set one on freeplay but can set the mechs to a nickel. Keep the machine at 36-42 degrees and make sure there are no tears in the seal.
Spray the seal on the inner door with some wd40 and close the door (do not overtighten the thandle use common sense or you will tear the seal) open the door and make sure the seal makes contact around the whole machine. I thought maybe it was low on freon or soemthing. But maybe I will try that seal trick you mention. It could be low on freon and an easy way to check is the feel the capillary tube to the evaporator (the small tube that coils up near the evap) put your finger in the coil and feel if its pulsing or a consistant flow.
