In all cases I receive a Code 31 error. In the device manager it confirms that all items are working correctly, except the MODEM type. USB Srorage Device, 3G PC UI interface (on COM5), are all working correctly, however the Modem has a yellow explanation mark over it and when you click on properties, it describes the Code 31 error - Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (same happens on the K3715). What else can I try, as I've spent a fortune on the laptop as a gift for my wife yet it is practically useless without connectivity. Going out and buying a new modem is also not an option - our exchange rate makes them prohibitively expensive, therefore we wait for our free hardware upgrades, and that's what we have at the moment. You're leaving out critical information. What type of the operating system are you running? 32bit or 64bit, as I said, if its 64bit then this won't do you any good.
