This is a problem that has been reported (and supposedly solved) before; however, the recommended solution is NOT working for me. When attempting to install GnuPG v1.4.8 within a Solaris 10 zone, the compilation bombs out with a series of libmpi.a errors: gcc -g -O2 -Wall -o mpicalc mpicalc.o./cipher/libcipher.a. The recommended solution that everyone seems to point to is to run './configure AR=gar' before running the make. It makes no difference.

Hi All, I am working on Solaris 10 OS on X4170M2 server. I have some.gpg encrypted files and i want to decrypt them but i dont know how to install the binary of gpg. When attempting to install GnuPG v1.4.8 within a Solaris 10 zone. Fujitsu Siemens W26361-w69-x-03 Drivers there. GnuPG 1.4.8 will not compile in Solaris 10 zone. This is a problem that has been reported.

I still get the same errors. I even removed the source directory, untarred the source, and tried again. I'm guessing that there is some library that is missing/outdated/whatever. UPDATE ==== I downloaded and successfully compiled/installed GNU binutils and GNU make, and I put /usr/local/bin before /usr/ccs/bin and /usr/ucb in $PATH. It still fails.

I'm guessing more and more that a library either is not install or is not being seen by the compiler.
