Ati 6550m Overclock
Hi guys, I wanted to ask is it's possible and worth to overclock AMD Radeon HD 6550D graphics card? Not sure what else should I say about my graphics card. How To Overclock ATI 6650M? Discussion in 'Gaming. You could try the AMD GPU Clock Tool. I had some trouble overclocking my 6550M with MSI Afterburner. Linear Convolution Using C Program there.
Easyworship Patch 2009. Hi, I'm new here, looks like a great forum Anyways I'm trying overclock my E6550, I can successfully get up to 3GHz, yet anything over that I get a message after the POST beep. It tells me the system is in safe mode and that I should go back into the BIOS and reset the the CPU clock speeds/voltages. I'm really looking for 3.2ghz, is this processor capable of these speeds with only a 7x multiplier? BTW I just bought a BFG 8800GT OC yesterday to upgrade my old 7600GT, WOW, went from about 3,500 on 3dmark06 to 12,318, with a mild overclock on the card, very impressed! Also my mobo is a BFG 680I SLI and I'm running Zalman CPU cooler but all that should show up in my profile info. Thanks to anyone that can help me! I doubt its the ram because its unlinked and isn't running out of specification.
I'd be more inclined to point to your northbridge (might be labeled MCP/SPP or something, check your manual) needing more voltage to sustain such a high FSB. Have you tried increasing it? No I haven't, you're probably right, I didn't think about that. I'll mess with it a bit and see what happens, thanks! OK, I just went into the BIOS, I have a voltage control for MCP, SPP and HT MCP/SPP.
I'm confused. EDIT: Figured it out I think, did a google search on my exact error message and it suggested turning 'Halt On' to 'No Errors', I then bumped it up to 3.1GHz and it booted no problems, now it's time to get greedy with that FSB. Azure Wireless Driver.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 is a mobile performance class graphic card for laptops with native DirectX 11 support. Despite the name, the HD chip does not stem from the desktop HD 5700 series but is just a faster Mobility Radeon HD 5650 with 400 shader cores.
Compared to the Mobility HD 5750, the 5730 has no GDDR5 support, but a higher core speed. As the other HD 5600/5700 cards, the HD 5730 offers Avivo HD for HD video acceleration, 8-channel HD audio output over HDMI 1.3, Eyefinity for up to 6 monitors (if the laptop features DisplayPorts) and Direct Compute 11 support. The performance should be a bit better than a in the middle-performance class.
This means all modern games (of 2009) should run fluently on this graphics card in medium to high detail settings with lower resolution settings (e.g. Compared to desktop graphics cards, the HD 5730 should be similar to a Radeon 5570 (except the desktop version uses faster GDDR5).
